HEALTH is not valued till sickness comes

Assalamualaikum.
Hi, everyone. Good morning!

How is it going? I hope that everyone is just doing fine, even though the weather is not in a good condition. When you are outside, perhaps you will tell yourself in the inside that you might have blurry vision ๐Ÿ˜„, whenever you see the fog or mist that limit your vision in a certain distance. Yes, nothing bad happen to your eyes, it is all about the haze.

What is haze?

Haze is traditionally an atmospheric phenomenon in which dust, smoke and other particles accumulate in the air. More than that, it is also contains air pollutants such as sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, carbon monixide and particulate matter.

How do we know the level of air quality in our area? How it is monitored?

In order to indicate the amount of pollutants in the air, an air quality index is commonly used over a specified period of time. In Malaysia, it it reported as IPU in Malay (Indeks Pencemaran Udara) while in English as API (Air Pollution Index), it varies according to each country. For instance, in Canada and Hong Kong it is called Air Quality Health Index (AQHI).

In conjunction to maintain our body health, it is essential to keep our body resist to some of the harzardous particles that may get any of the contagion caused by the polluted air. By following the steps and ways that suggested by the the Ministry of Health Malaysia,which are:
  1. Reduce outdoor activities.
  2. Avoid smoking.
  3. Drink plenty of water at least 2 liters per day.
  4. Wash your hands and face after being outdoor.
  5. Seek medical advice.
  6. Keep indoor environment clean.
As for today, it is reported that the air quality of in the very unhealthy area are improving such as Johan Setia, Klang. No closures of school started today.
